United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania appoints new Board Chair
PITTSBURGH (Feb. 4, 2025) – United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania has appointed Stacy M. Juchno as its new board chair. Juchno served as vice chair from 2023 to 2024 and began her two-year term as chair on Jan. 1, 2025.
“Stacy is a passionate and caring advocate who understands the critical role United Way plays in meeting basic needs, moving people to financial stability and building for success in school and life,” said Bobbi Watt Geer, Ph.D., president and CEO, United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania. “With her extensive background in internal auditing, she shares our commitment to data-driven decision making. Stacy is also deeply compassionate and through her generosity has provided significant support to our mission during her 15 years of involvement with
United Way.”
Juchno is executive vice president and general auditor for The PNC Financial Services Group and began her journey with United Way in 2009 through PNC’s workplace campaign. Her passion for giving led her to participate in reviewing grant proposals for United Way in 2014. Shortly after, Juchno was named co-chair of United Way’s Tocqueville Society leadership donor group, which supports United Way’s mission while providing opportunities for corporate and community members to become philanthropists and engage with other community leaders.
She and her partner Scott Dibble are also members of United Way’s Million Dollar Roundtable, a group of Tocqueville Society donors who have contributed more than a million dollars to United Way during their lifetimes.
“My passion for United Way’s work follows the values that have guided my career with PNC – at both organizations, we’re committed to economic opportunity so that everyone in our community can thrive,” Juchno said.
“United Way is a force multiplier for good in the community, and I’m passionate about representing its work as board chair. United Way uses current data to direct resources to make the greatest impact. I’m always inspired at how we’re able to bring corporations, groups and individuals together to make positive change in our region.”
Juchno joined the board of directors in 2019. Her dedication to United Way’s work led her to the Women’s Leadership Council – now Women United – which she co-chaired in 2019 and 2020. In addition to her volunteer leadership with United Way, Juchno serves as the executive leader of the PNC Military Employee Business Resource Group and is a member of the PNC Foundation board of directors.
As board chair, Juchno will serve as the organization’s chief volunteer officer. She succeeds Raymond W. Buehler Jr., who chaired United Way’s board from 2023 to 2024. Buehler remains on the board.
“We have a remarkable board made up of exceptional leaders from every sector of the community and we are so honored that Stacy will be at the helm,” Watt Geer said.
