Falk Facilities and Technology Improvement Fund:

Founded in 1953 by Dr. Benjamin Spock, Arsenal Family & Children’s Center has a rich legacy in early childhood development, serving as a training ground for Fred Rogers and led by experts like Dr. Margaret McFarland and Dr. Von Keairns. Today, Arsenal provides high-quality early learning through active, play-based preschool programs and hosts evening parenting sessions for children and their families.

This grant supported the replacement of worn tile flooring in two classrooms at Arsenal Family & Children’s Center. Installed in 2009, the old flooring was cracking, staining, and becoming difficult to clean — posing challenges for both sanitation and safety. The new floors provide a safe, clean surface for toddlers and support messy and creative play activities.
