Training Program Emergency Financial Assistance

Emergency Financial Assistance funds will help participants enrolled in Community Kitchen Pittsburgh’s programs to manage unexpected financial crises and support their basic needs while working toward jobs with family-sustaining wages. Community Kitchen Pittsburgh will distribute the funds to students to help with emergency financial needs, such as car repairs or child care, that would otherwise prevent them from completing their training

2024

Falk Facilities and Technology Improvement Fund:

Equipment and Repair – Community Kitchen Pittsburgh purchased additional kitchen equipment to safely accommodate increased meal production—averaging 2,600 meals daily—across 35 afterschool and child nutrition sites, shelters, recovery houses, and hospital discharge programs for low-income patients and caregivers.

Falk Facilities and Technology Improvement Fund:

Technology Upgrade – Community Kitchen installed a large training monitor in the kitchen to enhance flexibility in workforce development classes.
