Community Food Solutions:

This funding will support the Garfield Growing Network, a community-based initiative that connects local gardeners through education, shared resources and hands-on support to help residents grow their own food. Funding will cover workshops, outreach, materials and the installation of three raised beds. These efforts will strengthen food access and community resilience in an area with limited access to healthy food.

The project will build a community allotment garden and establish workshops that offer fresh produce, food-growing and preservation skills, and hands-on mentorship. These initiatives will help Garfield community members of all ages grow affordable, culturally relevant food while fostering a sense of community.
