Multi-year Grant:

Training for In-Demand Jobs through the MANUFACTURING 2000 (M@K) PA Pre-Apprenticeship Program – New Century Careers provides up to 600 hours of entry-level machinist training in the classroom, online and hands-on. It also offers lifetime placement assistance, free of charge, to qualified job seekers 18 and older. The M2K program provides machinist training and job placement for approximately 40 to 50 unemployed and underemployed high school graduates and GED completers each year, leading to entry-level jobs at the start of family-sustaining career pathways.

Training Program Emergency Financial Aid:

Emergency Financial Assistance funds will help participants enrolled in New Century Careers’ programs to manage unexpected financial crises and support their basic needs while working toward jobs with family-sustaining wages. New Century Careers will distribute the funds to students to help with emergency financial needs, such as car repairs or child care, that would otherwise prevent them from completing their training.
