Supporting Community Approaches to Transportation:
HEARTH provides housing and support services for individuals experiencing homelessness, with comprehensive transportation assistance tailored to each family’s needs. Support includes bus passes, rideshares, gas cards, driving lessons and use of a seven-passenger van, as well as subsidies for licenses, registration, insurance, car repairs, and loans — removing significant barriers for single mothers working to rebuild their lives.
This grant supports HEARTH’s Transportation Assistance Program, which provides single mothers with tailored support such as bus passes, rideshares, gas cards, driving lessons, and help with car-related costs like insurance and repairs — based on individual needs and available funding.
