Emergency Food Assistance

Due to the government shutdown, 300,000 households did not get SNAP food assistance on Nov. 3. Legal appeals may delay benefits, causing widespread food insecurity. Give today to support emergency food assistance and our 211 contact center, which has seen dramatic upticks in calls for food. Click here to give.

Impact Grant:

Volunteers of America Pennsylvania (VOAPA) provides personalized case management for women during pregnancy and for up to 18 months postpartum, supporting babies, siblings, and families with education, health care access and referrals. Services include parenting classes and access to a baby pantry stocked with essentials like diapers, formula and car seats. Clients can enroll at any stage of pregnancy.

This grant helps VOAPA provide rideshare services, gas cards, bus passes, and vehicle assistance to address critical transportation barriers, promoting better health outcomes for mothers and their babies. For clients with language barriers, VOAPA also partners with a translation service to ensure accessible support.
