Bobbi Watt Geer, Ph.D.

President & CEO

Bobbi Watt Geer, Ph.D., is president & CEO of United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania and has had a more than 35-year career in the nonprofit sector. Bobbi previously served in a variety of leadership positions within United Way, including as senior vice president of administration and as CEO of the former United Way of Westmoreland County. She has also served as president of The Community Foundation of Westmoreland County, among several other nonprofit fundraising and program management positions.

Bobbi has taught courses in nonprofit management and leadership at St. Vincent College and Robert Morris University. She currently serves on the United Way Worldwide Network Advisory Council, a leadership body serving the entire network of more than 1,000 United Ways globally. She is a member of the International Women’s Forum, Pittsburgh, and serves on the Human Services Policy Committee for the University of Pittsburgh’s Institute of Politics. Awards and honors include a 2020 Pittsburgh Business Times Woman of Influence award, a Girl Scouts Woman of Distinction award in 2024 and a Hesselbein Leadership Forum Lecture Series speaker in 2025.

Bobbi earned a doctoral degree in public administration and public policy from the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs and a master’s degree in nonprofit management from Robert Morris University. She also holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown.
