Len Hawkins is the chief financial officer and treasurer for United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania and brings more than 25 years of diverse managerial experience in consumer products, transportation, banking, government and non-profit sectors. In his role at United Way, Len oversees the financial performance of the organization, ensuring alignment with long-term goals, budgets and forecasts.

Before joining United Way, Len served as deputy budget director at the Office of Budget and Management for the City of Chicago, where he managed the city’s $8.7 billion annual operating budget. Since living in Pittsburgh, he has served on various boards, including Sustainable Pittsburgh, PACE and Carlow Hill College. Len also earned CFO of the year.

Len holds a Master of Business Administration in finance from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh. In his spare time, he enjoys golfing, traveling and cheering for the Steelers.
