United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania celebrates our 100th anniversary in 2027! Now is the time to move forward, spread the word, engage the community and find out what’s possible when we’re all United. Here’s how you can get involved:
Donate to our new 100th anniversary fund: We’ve set a goal of raising $40 million dollars and we’re more than halfway there! When you contribute above and beyond your annual campaign contribution, you help us to accomplish three key goals: Investing at least $2 million more each year in partner agencies helping people thrive, responding immediately in the event of crises such as the SNAP benefits halt or other unforeseen challenges, and funding innovative programs that strengthen the region’s safety net. Start your own fundraising campaign: You can start your own personal United Way 100th Anniversary giving campaign. Set a goal from $500 to $5,000 to support our work. Fill out this form to start your fundraiser. We’ll send you a special personalized link you can share with your family and friends. Track progress on our leaderboard. Then, promote your fundraiser using this marketing toolkit. Thank you to Comcast for providing $70,000 in matching funds!
Coming soon: the 100,000 Hour Challenge. Beginning in 2027, we’re inviting individuals, families and companies to team up with United Way to significantly increase volunteerism in our region. We’ll work together to address community issues like food insecurity and other basic needs, to collect much-needed items, to promote early literacy for young children, and much more.
