United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania receives $25,000 grant from Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation

United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania received a generous $25,000 grant from the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation to support United Way’s investment priorities of meeting basic needs, moving to financial stability and building for success in school and life.

Roughly 73% of the investments that United Way makes in our region go to organizations that support, elevate and uplift women and children.

“United Way’s work aligns with our mission to be the champions of all youth in our community, on and off the ice,” shared Yvonne J. Maher, executive director of the Pittsburgh Penguins Foundation. “We’re proud to support United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania, and in turn those who benefit from their programs and services.”
