All young people deserve to have a positive start toward adulthood, to learn and succeed and to reach their full potential. Why is this so critical? Education is the key to stability, success and confidence. In 2023 alone, United Way invested $1.5 million in 30 agencies working to level the playing field for students from pre-K to high school and beyond. In 2023-24, an additional $996,000 was invested in Welcome Back Summer, which funded 50 summer programs across the region.

When you support Building for Success in School and Life, your donation helps:

Children be prepared to start school with confidence.

Establish positive relationships with strong role models.

Provide positive out-of-school time opportunities that keep young people engaged.

Advocate for systemic change so that all children, regardless of the zip code where they live or how much their families earn, have equal opportunity for success.

Provide support and resources to young people enrolled in college, career training or trade programs.
