Dragon’s Den is a year-round youth development center in Homestead that works to address the community’s limited access to quality summer programs. Its six-week in-person summer camp runs five days a week and includes pre- and after- camp care, offering enriching activities and weekly field trips designed to support children’s growth, learning and exploration.

Impact Grant:

This grant supports summer programming for elementary and middle school students that includes field trips, STEM and art activities, outdoor recreation and play-based social and emotional learning. A key component of the program is use of a state-of-the-art therapeutic challenge course, which helps promote teamwork, confidence and emotional growth.

Impact Grant:

This grant provided funding to purchase an oven and freezer, allowing Dragon’s Den to safely store and reheat donated meals and snacks for its after-school program. The new appliances will ensure that Dragon’s Den can fully benefit from existing partnerships and consistently provide nutritious food to the children they serve.
