The Benefits Counseling Program enables people with disabilities to maximize their employment opportunities to enhance their financial stability, while considering the impact of working on vital government benefits such as Social Security and Medicaid. The program also provides assistance and guidance to individuals who are at risk of losing government benefits, or who are unaware of how to apply for benefits.

Benefits Counseling – ACHIEVA’s Benefits Counseling program is designed to remove a major barrier to employment for people with disabilities: employment income resulting in the loss of vital government benefits essential for their well-being, such as Medicaid. Comprehensive Benefits Counseling assures that individuals will not lose benefits they need to for their quality of life because they are seeking or maintaining employment.
