Impact Grant:

PRYSE Academy – Alliance for Refugee Youth Support and Education (ARYSE), through an arts-centric curriculum and program delivery model, addresses the challenges of immigrant and refugee youth in Pittsburgh by helping them develop critical academic skills, achieve social and emotional growth, and deepen their sense of belonging in Pittsburgh. Through a culturally relevant and trauma-informed curriculum, ARYSE is helping students build toward success in school and life and become leaders in our community.

2024

Welcome Back Summer:

PRYSE Academy – With the support of the grant, ARYSE enhanced PRYSE Academy’s programming by expanding access to high-quality materials, creative workshops, and enriching field trips, further supporting the academic and emotional growth of immigrant and refugee youth. The funding also strengthened the near-peer mentorship model, allowing for deeper student engagement and leadership development throughout the five-week summer program hosted at the University of Pittsburgh.
