Impact Grant:

Sign Language and Interpretation Supports – Sign Language and Interpretation Supports addresses the need for individuals who are Deaf, Deaf-Blind and Hard of Hearing to access and receive quality ASL interpreting services. Interpreters are available on a 24-hour basis, are members of the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf, Inc., and provide interpretation for any number of medical, educational, personal, professional, recreational and community-based situations.

Deaf Youth/Friends Program – Center for Hearing & Deaf Services, Inc.’s Deaf Youth/Friends Program attempts to promote Deaf awareness and give Deaf youth and their families the opportunity to build community as part of the Deaf culture. The program addresses and minimizes stigma and communication barriers by providing monthly activities, educational workshops and basic American Sign Language (ASL) instruction for those who are hearing.
