Impact Grant:

Fayette County Community Action Agency, Inc. (FCCAA) helps low- and moderate-income residents

access important financial services, including free tax preparation, through its Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) program.

This grant helps fund FCCAA’s participation in the Free Tax Preparation Coalition, supporting the operation of a tax site in Fayette County. The funding allows FCCAA to meet the growing demand from low-income families seeking free, accurate tax assistance that helps them access applicable= credits and maximize their refunds.

Impact Grant:

The Temporary Transportation Assistance Program offers financial support to individuals experiencing transportation challenges that prevent them from getting to work, attending job interviews, or accessing essential benefits and services.

This grant supports a transportation assistance program for clients actively working toward self-sufficiency. Eligible participants may receive:

* Up to $250 for essential car repairs, license or insurance reinstatement, or vehicle inspection or

* One $45 FACT bus pass or gas card per month, for up to 5 months

Support is based on verified need and aims to remove transportation barriers that hinder access to employment, interviews and essential benefits and services.
