Supporting Transportation Access for Survivors of Domestic Violence
Impact Grant:
Helping All Victims In Need (HAVIN) is Armstrong County’s sole agency dedicated to supporting individuals affected by domestic and sexual violence. HAVIN operates the county’s only emergency shelter and offers counseling, advocacy, and referrals to both shelter residents and individuals seeking a life free from abuse.
This grant supports transportation access for survivors of domestic Violence, helping survivors overcome transportation barriers to maintain employment, access services and relocate safely. Funds cover expenses such as bus fares, gas cards, ride shares and vehicle costs including repairs, registration, and insurance.

Welcome Back Summer:
Helping All Victims in Need (HAVIN) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting survivors of domestic violence, sexual assault and other violent crimes. Through comprehensive services such as crisis intervention, counseling, emergency shelter, advocacy and community education, HAVIN works to ensure safety, promote healing and empower individuals and families.
This grant helps fund a mindfulness and self-esteem program for children in Armstrong County. Serving youth age 5 to 17, the program offers weekly activities that teach coping skills, encourage positive affirmations and share stories of individuals who have overcome challenges. Through these experiences, children build resilience, confidence and healthier strategies for managing everyday conflicts.
