Welcome Back Summer:

The Evolution of Empowerment Summer Internship is a six-week program designed to help girls explore personal and community development. They meet three days a week and engage in sessions focused on self-identity, cultural awareness, career exploration, education goal setting and mindfulness practices, creating space for growth, reflection and connection.

This grant provides partial funding for weekly field trips that foster cultural awareness and mentorship, including a planned visit to Washington, D.C., with stops at Howard University, a meeting with Congresswoman Summer Lee and a tour of the National Museum of African American History and Culture. The program also includes service opportunities through community projects like senior lunches.
