2026-2029

Multi-year Grant:

Crisis Childcare Program – Jeremiah’s Place provides emergency child care to enable low-income parents to attend interviews, training and work. This bridges critical gaps before subsidies begin, during closures, and while families secure permanent care — supporting employment retention and advancement.

2023-2026

Multi-year Grant

Crisis Childcare Program – Jeremiah’s Place provides emergency child care to families experiencing crises, including those who need assistance finding and maintaining employment. Lack of child care is a major barrier to employment for many families. In 2022, more than half of child care visits were work-related, including job interviews, schedule changes and non-traditional work hours.

2025

Falk Facilities and Technology Improvement Fund:

Jeremiah’s Place will implement a comprehensive security system with cameras, key fob access and a video intercom to ensure safety and privacy at its new Wilkinsburg facility.

2024

Falk Facilities and Technology Improvement Fund:

This grant will fund a full playground set to give young children a place to play, grow and thrive while receiving care at western Pennsylvania’s only crisis nursery.

2023

Falk Facilities and Technology Improvement Fund:

This grant supports the purchase of a washer, dryer, mini fridge and freezer for Jeremiah’s Place South, a new pilot location. These appliances will help provide daily meals and snacks at no cost to families. The mini fridge will store essential items such as breast milk within the child care space, while meals will be prepared in a nearby kitchenette and transported safely using a utility cart.
