Emergency Food Assistance

Due to the government shutdown, 300,000 households won’t get SNAP food assistance on Nov. 3. Legal appeals may delay benefits, causing widespread food insecurity. Give today to support emergency food assistance and our 211 contact center, which has seen dramatic upticks in calls for food. Click here to give.

Impact Grant:

Neighborhood Allies is a Pittsburgh-based organization dedicated to building a more just, fair and inclusive society where everyone can thrive. They invest in communities and programs that open pathways to opportunity, including support for science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM) initiatives for youth in Homewood, the Hill District and the East End.

This grant will support the expansion of a drone certification program for young people. Funding will provide additional drones, transportation and storage equipment, as well as mobile hotspots to ensure reliable internet connectivity when the program brings its mobile classroom directly to schools like Westinghouse, Faison and Lincoln.
