Emergency Food Assistance

Due to the government shutdown, 300,000 households did not get SNAP food assistance on Nov. 3. Legal appeals may delay benefits, causing widespread food insecurity. Give today to support emergency food assistance and our 211 contact center, which has seen dramatic upticks in calls for food. Click here to give.

Impact Grant:

PA Women Work’s (PWW) Road to Work Program helps jobseekers overcome one of the most common barriers to employment: transportation. Launched as a pilot and now expanding to meet growing demand, the program provides free bus passes to clients while they search for jobs and transition into new employment.

This grant supports the Road to Work transportation aid program, which helps job-seeking clients overcome transportation barriers by providing free bus passes and related assistance. In addition to transportation support for up to four months, participants receive career coaching and workforce development training to help them secure and maintain stable employment.
