Emergency Food Assistance

Due to the government shutdown, 300,000 households won’t get SNAP food assistance on Nov. 3. Legal appeals may delay benefits, causing widespread food insecurity. Give today to support emergency food assistance and our 211 contact center, which has seen dramatic upticks in calls for food.

Impact Grant:

Urban Impact Summer Day Camp takes a unique and holistic approach to summer programming by placing a strong emphasis on academic reinforcement to help students stay on track during the break. With low student-to-adult ratios of 6:1 or better, the camp creates a safe, supportive environment where children receive individual attention, nutritious meals and snacks and the care they need to thrive during summer months when they’re most vulnerable to learning loss.

This grant makes it possible for Urban Impact Summer Day Camp to provide a safe, engaging environment with low student-to-adult ratios, where children benefit from focused academic enrichment alongside games, crafts and physical activities. The camp also supports weekly field trips and offers valuable workforce readiness opportunities by employing high school staff, helping youth develop both academically and professionally over the summer.
