Impact Grant:

Young Black Motivated Kings and Queens (YBMKQ) provides youth and families in greater Allegheny County with a safe, supportive space where young people can be creative, expressive and empowered as they explore their role in the community and the world. YBMKQ University summer programming offers a structured, engaging environment during out-of-school hours.

This grant supports providing a safe, engaging and educational summer experience for middle school youth. The program combines tutoring with culturally relevant, real-world learning opportunities, while also addressing trauma and offering access to social workers to support students’ emotional well-being.
