Back on track with the right tools

After overcoming a period of homelessness, Michelle found housing for her four children in Allentown. Her new apartment did not come with a refrigerator, which meant she didn’t have a way to safely store fresh food. With funding from United Way, Abiding Missions purchased Michelle a refrigerator for her apartment. This was a significant change for her family, making it possible for her to safely store prepared food and fresh produce. Michelle has since become a regular at the Abiding Missions food pantry. She is looking forward to the upcoming school year with her children, and plans to enroll them in Abiding Missions’ after school program.
