What advice or key points would you give to someone who wants to get involved in Next Gen but doesn’t know where to start?

“Next Gen is a fantastic way to make a real difference in the community alongside a passionate group of individuals. I have found the Next Gen group to be very welcoming. Next Gen hosts several events throughout the year so consider attending an event to meet current members and learn firsthand about United Way’s involvement. Think about what kind of impact you’d like to make and what skills you can bring to the table. Personally, my involvement with Next Gen has opened my eyes to critical local issues and provided incredibly rewarding volunteer experiences. Getting involved in Next Gen is ultimately about connecting with peers who are seeking to positively address critical issues at the local level.
