Tell me about your role at United Way.

I provide essential administrative support to our senior director of operations and the chief financial officer. My duties range from meeting coordination and preparation to inventory management and general administrative tasks.

What are two things you enjoy most about working here?

I enjoy my coworkers, they are great! Everyone here is friendly, helpful and just genuinely good people to work and interact with. I also value the numerous opportunities I have here to volunteer, get involved and make a difference.

What’s a project or accomplishment you’re most proud of?

Last year, I volunteered as a tax preparer for our Free Tax Prep program. The IRS training was engaging, and the instructors were readily available to answer questions. I felt confident in the fact that our work was always double-checked by an IRS professional, ensuring accuracy and protecting taxpayers.

What’s a fun fact about you that most people don’t know?

I went to school to be an esthetician. I’ve always been passionate about health and skincare, so it seemed like the perfect fit for me.

What are your other interests outside of work?

I love shopping, particularly for beauty and fashion items like makeup, skincare, shoes and handbags. I like the convenience of online clothes shopping, but when it comes to home décor and makeup, I prefer in-person shopping so that I can test products in good lighting. Beyond shopping, I love time spent with family and friends and enjoy trying new food places. Some of my favorite spots to dine are Ichiban, Sushi Bomb and Applebee’s.

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?

Because I am naturally introverted, I think it’d be cool to flip the switch and have the ability to be effortlessly social and outgoing. I’d then share that newfound extroverted magic with anyone who could use a little boost.
