Inspiring young innovators through STEM learning
The STEM Coding Lab brings computer science, AI and STEM learning to K-8 students through engaging in-class instruction and out-of-school programs. By making STEM education accessible and hands-on, the program helps students build skills that support curiosity, confidence and long-term success. At Langley pre-K, Dan Funk, assistant principal, has been extremely pleased with the impact of the programming, noting clear gains in student engagement and learning. The interactive sessions offer hands-on experiences that strengthen critical thinking, creativity and problem-solving skills.
By integrating science, technology, engineering, arts and mathematics, the program empowers students to explore and innovate, laying a strong foundation for future academic and career pathways. With support from United Way, STEM Coding Lab is helping bridge the achievement gap and ensure students from all backgrounds have access to high-quality STEM education and opportunity.
