Linda Jones serves as the executive vice president & chief development officer of United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania and is best known for her exceptional relationship-building skills. With over 25 years of experience on United Way’s fundraising team, Linda is the organization’s lead fundraiser, responsible for nurturing strong relationships with donors to support United Way’s mission. Her focus is on growing revenue streams through strategic partnerships, donor cultivation and market expansion.
Under Linda’s leadership, United Way has become one of the nation’s top United Ways, ranking third for its Women United group, raising over $9 million annually, and fifth for Tocqueville Society members, contributing more than $9.5 million. A goal-driven, passionate and results-oriented leader, Linda has developed successful strategies that have consistently fostered growth, raising over $822 million for the organization.
Linda’s visionary approach builds on successful strategies while evaluating outcomes and effectiveness, positioning the organization for continued success. She earned her Bachelor of Science and elementary education teacher’s certification from the University of Pittsburgh and was recently named one of the Pittsburgh Business Times’ Women of Influence. Linda also serves on the board of directors for South Hills Interfaith Movement. In her spare time, she enjoys vacationing at the beach, coaching boys’ and girls’ elementary and middle school basketball and spending time with her son, daughter and husband.
