Nate Wolbert is chief financial officer for United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania and brings more than a decade of experience working with nonprofit organizations. He joined the organization in 2017. In his role at United Way, Nate is responsible for financial reporting, budget creation and monitoring and ensuring compliance with all applicable financial regulations.
Nate’s career began in public accounting, where he provided assurance services to nonprofits and governmental clients, first with the firm Maher Duessel CPAs in Pittsburgh and later with Warren Averett in Florida. He is also a co-founder and board treasurer of Charity Nexus, a recently formed nonprofit organization that assists families fighting pediatric cancer by connecting them with needed services. Nate has also been the financial administrator of Lifestone Church for the past seven years.
Nate holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting from Clarion University of Pennsylvania and is a licensed CPA. Nate resides in the North Hills with his wife of 12 years, Allison, and their two children. The family can usually be found traveling, exploring a new park or at the soccer or tee-ball field.
