Emergency Food Assistance

Due to the government shutdown, 300,000 households did not get SNAP food assistance on Nov. 3. Legal appeals may delay benefits, causing widespread food insecurity. Give today to support emergency food assistance and our 211 contact center, which has seen dramatic upticks in calls for food. Click here to give.

Meal Kit Packing – Day 1

Volunteer Engagement

United Way’s Meal Kit Packing event allows community members to assist with packing and distributing 1,750 meal kits to local families. The meal kits will feed a family of four breakfasts, lunches, and dinners over one weekend.

Volunteers are needed to help prepare for the packing event. Tasks include sorting the inventory of food, building boxes and setting up the stations. Some repeated lifting and bending required.
